The COMP Program is a DBHDD-approved Medicaid waiver service that provides comprehensive, person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services are delivered in accordance with DBHDD standards and are designed to promote independence, community integration, and improved quality of life.

Through the Individual Service Plan (ISP), services are tailored to each individual’s assessed needs, preferences, and goals. The COMP Program offers a broad range of supports, which may include residential services, community access, personal support, and skill-building in activities of daily living, communication, and socialization.

All services are provided by qualified and trained staff and are implemented in the least restrictive environment. Supports focus on skill acquisition, maintenance, and generalization to enhance independence and functional ability across home and community settings.

The COMP Program emphasizes active participation in community life by supporting individuals in accessing community resources, engaging in meaningful activities, and developing natural supports. Services are coordinated and monitored to ensure compliance with Medicaid waiver requirements and DBHDD policies.

Ongoing documentation, supervision, and quality assurance measures are in place to track progress toward ISP goals, ensure health and safety, and protect individual rights. The program is committed to delivering high-quality, culturally competent, and outcome-driven services that support long-term stability and independence.
